How to Prevent Shoulder Injuries So You Don’t Have to Stop Toning Your Arms
If you’re learning how to tone your arms, you may be well aware that shoulder injuries are very common amongst people that exercise on a frequent basis. The reason shoulder injuries are so common is because the standard workplace decreases the health of your shoulder girdle. In a nutshell, when you are working from the seated position at a desk while hunched over looking at a monitor, the space within which your rotator cuff muscles can move decreases.
Unfortunately, a single injury to your shoulders can prevent you from sticking with an exercise program for months on end. Second, do a lot of pulling with a reverse grip. You see, when you pull with a reverse grip you work on your lower trapezius muscles. And these muscles in turn will pull your shoulder blades backwards which creates more space for your rotator cuff tendons. Also, doing pull-ups with a reverse grip is another great strategy here. As an added bonus, doing reverse grip work will add variety to your exercise program.
